Keswick Mountain Festival 2012
The Keswick Mountain Festival is an action-packed, five-day festival celebrating the best the great outdoors has to offer in the heart of the Lake District.
Once again, we'll be at the Bike Village on Saturday and Sunday, where we'll be promoting ‘cycling fun for the little ones’ with our fleet of pedal-free balance bikes. Our Nursery Freewheelers coaches use these bikes to help children as young as two learn about balance, steering and stopping. So bring your toddler along for a FREE 'have-a-go' session.
We'll also be running our Coaching Based Guided MTB Rides - these proved popular last year, despite the soggy, windy conditions! New for this year is a Guided Family Road Ride, and an Advanced Guided Road Ride. Click here for more information on these rides, and to book your place.
Plus, we'll be offering a bike maintenance service to the bike-based events including the Keswick Sportive and the Triathlons.
Last year's weather wasn't quite what we'd hoped for, but we've everything crossed that it'll be kinder to us this year. Whatever the weather, you're guaranteed an awesome five days, with all sorts of 'mountain' sports on offer, plus exhibitors, entertainment and refreshments.
See you there!

Entries are now open for the Altura Whinlatter MTB Challenge on Sunday, March 25th. And to coincide with the endurance event, Cyclewise is hosting a Demo Day on Saturday, the 24th.

We'll have men's and women's Cube bikes to demo FREE OF CHARGE, while there'll be a selection of shoes from Teva, and body armour courtesy of Knox. You'll also be able to check out the latest riding kit from Altura, the main sponsors of the event and the bike trails at Whinlatter.
Cyclewise will also be running various workshops and taster sessions, plus there will be discounts in store including ‘on-the-day’ specials. Other activities are planned for the day, which will appeal to all age groups and abilities.
Full details about the Demo Day will be available nearer the time - to be among the first to find out what’s going on, keep an eye on the website, ‘Like’ us on facebook and/or subscribe to our monthly Newsletter.
On the Sunday, why not take part in the Altura Whinlatter MTB Challenge - choose from the Full Enduro of 30 miles, or the 17-mile Half Enduro - both of which cover most of the trails in the forest. More information can be found at www.whinlatterchallenge.co.uk/
Please note: the trails at Whinlatter will be closed for most of the day on the Sunday.

7 Non Stop Charity Ride - September 3rd/4th, 2011
On the weekend of September 3rd/4th, we got on our bikes for our latest charity challenge ‘7 Non Stop’. Starting at 11am on the Saturday, Team Cyclewise rode for 22 hours non-stop, completing all of the 7Stanes (Scottish MTB trail centres) and cycling on the road from and to each centre.
The stats break down to 87 miles of off-road riding and 159 miles on-road. Our epic event started in Kirroughtree (near Stranraer), then went on to Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, Newcastleton, Innerleithen and finally to Glentress in the Tweed valley near Edinburgh.
Despite heavy rain the whole team, with huge support from Ben Keen at Shearwater and Cheryl Frost from Rather Be Cycling, completed the 250-mile mission in less than 24 hours.
The event was in aid of Breast Cancer Care and so far we have raised almost £2.5k. Many thanks to all who donated, supported and helped make it happen.
