Here are some comments from the competitors received after last years event:-
Best enduro ever at Whinlatter today!! Thanks cyclewise :-) awesome tracks, free food and beer, and generous prize money!
Thanks guys for a top notch enduro yesterday! You got everything just right, great variety of tracks with no silly uphill pedals, no queuing on the way round and a great atmosphere. Hopefully will be the first of many.
Thanks for a great event today. Really enjoyed it! It was my first mtb event that I've ever competed in and it was very easy to just go and ride my bike and not too expensive, which had put me off some other events in the past. It was well structured, with great routes (if not a little too muddy in places) and the post race food and beer was great!
There's a lot that other enduros can learn from this event. Was excellent. See you next year.
For a first event this was top notch !! Well marked trails super nice marshals Great to meet new people throughout the day and ride with old and new buddies, you gotta love this racing format because its such a shared experience.
Great use of both sides of the valley, nice use of existing trails to link stages, no queues (except for beer ). Not sure what could be improved, maybe an open practice day.....narrr stuff it riding blind is damn exciting .
Even the marshalls had a great day - Had an awesome day marshalling today, riders all seemed to be buzzing and there was copious and excellent food from Siskins as well as the local beer brewed especially for the event.TOP day out. Not much voice left now, and very grateful to the riders who DID turn hard right as politely requested at the bottom of Stage Three. I didn't get killed even once!
