Itinerary

Day 1: You will make your way to your accommodation at a guesthouse in central Keswick. Since most people will be arriving quite late, there is no get-together planned for this evening. However, recommendations for places to eat will be available at the guesthouse.

Day 2: Rendezvous at the KE office on Saturday morning, meet your KE leader and the Cyclewise mountainbiking coach and set off on a classic all-day Lakes 'mountain' ride. Options include 'Around Skiddaw' or the 'Borrowdale Bash'. Returning to the guesthouse in the late afternoon, there's time to freshen up before going back to the KE office for a presentation on their worldwide range of trips. Dinner at a local pub or restaurant.

Day 3: Today's rendezvous is at the Cyclewise shop at Whinlatter. This will be a coaching-based guided ride on the Altura and Quercus trails in Whinlatter Forest, but also on open forest tracks. Our Cyclewise coach will help you pick the best lines, dial in your descending - and ascending - techniques and generally improve your MTB skills. After lunch at the cafe, some people can make their getaway, while others stay on and sample more of the Whinlatter experience, before heading home.
