Delivered from our classroom at Whinlatter, we aim to save you money by showing you just how easy bike maintenance really is. We offer 2 different courses to suit all abilities and requirements. Whether you just want to learn the basics or build on the knowledge you already have, we have a course for you. Why pay a bike shop to do a simple job that you could be able to do yourself? You do not need to have a great knowledge of bike maintenance to complete many repairs and you could save yourself a lot of time and money in the long run. We will take you through each process step by step with lots of opportunities to ask questions along the way. So why not come along and see how easy it really is.
"Just a quick message to say thanks for the excellent course I attended this weekend.

The Strip & Build Course is designed for those of you who already have a little experience of bike maintenance but would like to increase that knowledge further and save yourself a hefty bill at the bike shop at the same time. We will show you just how easy it is to fix many problems or up-grade a component, saving you both time and money in the long run.
Day 1 All bikes will be given a thorough cleaning then you will begin to strip your own bike down to the frame. With your bike on a workstand and your own set of tools we will show you how to remove all the components piece by piece. True wheels and service a hub, once your bike is completely stripped we have the specialist tools to face your bike ready for the re-build on day 2.
Day 2 With your frame on the stand you will begin to build up your bike, servicing each component as it goes on. Bikes will then be set up correctly for your riding style, for your short test ride.
Course cost: The cost of this course is £145 and this includes the use of our specialist tools and a full set of gear and brake cables. If your bike requires new parts this will be an additional cost. If you know of any particular problems or you would like to upgrade a certain component please feel free to bring the parts required along with you or contact our shop on 017687-78711 to order the required parts. Lots of free tea / coffee & biscuits are also provided. (Over 18's only)
