We are based at the head of the 20km Altura Trail and our Shop / Bike Hire Centre and MTB Course Venue offers you a wide range of services including a UK top 10 Shimano approved workshop, extensive range of Altura riding kit, quality Cube bikes to hire or buy and some of the most honest and professional advice available. We are extremely proud of the fact that in just under 2 years 'Cyclewise Whinlatter' has been awarded a Gold Award and voted the 9th Best UK Workshop out of over 550 bike shops by Cytech, the industry's only recognised training and accreditation scheme for bike mechanics. We were also voted the 2nd Best Trail Centre in the UK by readers of Singletrack magazine in their annual Readers Poll. (Dec 09)

These awards are a fantastic achievement, especially as we have only been
operating from Whinlatter for a relatively short time, and the fact that we were up against some very well-established Trail Centres and Bike Shops is a testament to the quality, experience, knowledge and dedication of everyone who works with us at Cyclewise Whinlatter.

Our Bike Shop is one of the best you will find in the North of England and we always have a large range of clothing, equipment and bikes in stock. As we are also a trail centre and course provider, we are in a unique position to be able to use our products to the max. We are constantly product testing in real conditions and this means we know exactly what does and does not work out on the trails at Whinlatter and further afield, and our guys in the shop are always happy to pass on this knowledge.
