In line with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016, Cyclewise has reviewed and revised its procedures on how we collect, use and share people’s information, to ensure individuals are aware of how their information is handled.

Who We Are

The premises of Cyclewise Whinlatter and Cyclewise Cockermouth are part of Cyclewise Whinlatter Ltd, which also operates alongside the sister company Cyclewise Training Ltd. For simplicity, we advertise all products and services under the umbrella of Cyclewise and throughout this policy ‘we’ and ‘us’ refer to Cyclewise as a brand.

‘You’ and ‘your group’ means you and your party members or anyone for whom you are making a booking, order, or enquiry.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

Any personal information you provide will only be retained for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose for which it was provided, or for as long as is necessary and reasonable to enable us to fulfill any statutory or regulatory requirements. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
